Volunteer at the May 17, 2020 Festival

Welcome! We are so glad you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Sonoma County Matsuri Japanese Arts Festival and helping to support the Arts in Sonoma County!

About Sonoma County Japanese Arts Festival: the mission of Sonoma County Matsuri is to share and promote Japanese Arts and Culture by providing educational opportunities and better intercultural understanding in the greater Bay Area.

We are a non-profit Educational Arts Organization. Our fundraising efforts provide scholarships to schools and students working in projects related to Japanese Culture.

Volunteer Profile: This information will help stay in contact with you and keep you posted on upcoming events aimed at promoting Japanese Arts and Culture in our community. Our aim is to build a strong and networked arts community and our volunteers help bring that goal to reality all over the Bay Area.

At the start of your shift, we’ll ask you to sign the Waiver and Release of Liability and Agreement to Participate. It’s provided here so that you can read it ahead of time.

Which shifts can you volunteer for?

Shift 1: 9:00-11:00 (for the set up and vendor check-in. We hope you can stay and hang out after your shift, if you choose this shift)

Shift 2: 10:45-1:45. (for the information booth and raffle, stage, rovers)

Shift 3: 1:30-4:30 (for the information booth and raffle, stage, rovers)

Shift 4: 4:15-7:15 (or so). (mostly for clean-up. We hope you can come earlier, enjoy the festival and stay after the festival if you choose this shift)
